2014 has been a difficult year for Israel

As the threats against Israel mount so too does our responsibility to speak out for Israel.
Dear ,
2014 has been a difficult year for Israel. This summer a majority of Israelis had to trade the beach for bomb shelters as Hamas fired over 4,500 rockets into cities across the country, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.  Israel had to fight a war with Hamas to stop the missile fire in which 66 Israeli soldiers lost their lives.  And over the last month, 9 Israelis have been killed by Palestinian terrorists, including four rabbis who were slaughtered in Jerusalem during their morning prayers.

We pray that 2015 will be a better year for Israel.  But we know that Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS and Iran are not going away.  As the threats against Israel mount, it is our responsibility to defend Israel here in America.  This is a responsibility we take seriously.

To accomplish this mission we have set five goals for the coming year.  With your help, we will achieve them all.

Grow and Educate a Grassroots Pro-Israel Army:
  • Educate our over 1.9 million members through local events, CUFI Sunday, CUFI talking points, The Torch, and conference calls.
  • Update our 1.2 million Facebook fans and 15,000 Twitter followers on Middle East events multiple times a day seven days a week.
Activate Our Grassroots Pro-Israel Army:
  • Bring thousands of Christians to Washington, DC for the CUFI Summit.
  • Send action alerts at critical junctures enabling our members to remind our leaders that we want them to stand with Israel.
Grow the Network of Pro-Israel Pastors in America:
  • Educate thousands of pastors through Pastors Lunches and Briefings.
  • Educate hundreds of Christian Leaders on our Pastors Tours to Israel.
Educate and Activate College Students Through CUFI on Campus:
  • Educate thousands of students through advocacy-driven Seminars.
  • Grant scholarships to 400 student leaders for the CUFI Summit.
  • Bring our top student leaders on a summer mission to Israel
Introduce the Truth About Israel to Millennial Evangelicals:
  • Bring hundreds of Millennial influencers to Israel to see the truth with their own eyes.
  • Produce a full-length Millennial friendly pro-Israel film.
We cannot accomplish all we need to do for Zion’s Sake without your help. As we mobilize to build support for Israel here in America, we pray that we will have you by our side.
We ask that you consider making a gift to CUFI while you are planning your tax deductible, end-of-the year giving. Your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $350,000 by a generous donor.
We pray that you and your families will be richly blessed during this Christmas season and into the New Year.

The Danger in Being a Christian: It began as a Jewish sect; fierce persecution only helped it spread

Acts 8 Acts 8:1 On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. In some countries, a person who becomes a Christian forfeits a good education and job. And in a few countries, a person who converts risks his or her life. One church historian estimates that more Christians were martyred in the twentieth century than in all preceding centuries put together. Yet, strangely, more often than not, intense persecution of Christians leads to a spurt of growth in the church. An ancient saying expresses this phenomenon: “The blood of martyrs is the seed of the church.” The First Big Advance For a while, the new faith enjoyed popular favor. But very soon it involved grave risk. In the book of Acts, the persecution that produced the first Christian martyr, Stephen, ironically brought about the advance of Christianity outside its Jewish base. Forced out of stormy Jerusalem, the scatterin...

In His Eyes

July 23, 2012 Mary Southerland Today's Truth I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be ( Psalm 139:14-15 , NIV). Friend to Friend It was my first day of teaching second grade. While standing at the classroom door, greeting parents and children, I felt a tug on my skirt. I looked down into the beautiful blue eyes of Sammy, one of my new students.  His mother, who was standing beside Sammy, looked at me and said, "I guess you've heard about Sammy.  Good luck!" As she walked away, Sammy said, "She's right. I'm dumb and mean and can't read or write."  Lisa was a tall, blonde and beautiful young woman with zero self-confidence. Lisa was...
