Dios es capaz

El Señor Jesús sabía de primera mano lo que significaba vivir con escasos recursos financieros, ser cuestionado por sus acciones (Mr 3.21) y sufrir el rechazo de aquellos a quienes trataba de servir (Jn 6.66). Sin embargo, a pesar de tal oposición, Él nunca permitió que las circunstancias controlaran sus emociones o dictaran sus acciones, pues decidió confiar en que el Padre era capaz de cumplir su Palabra.
Estamos llamados a seguir el ejemplo de Cristo, creyendo que Dios es capaz de hacer lo que Él ha prometido. Por ejemplo, la Biblia promete la salvación eterna a todos los que pidan perdón en nombre de Jesús (He 7.25). La muerte de Jesús en la cruz satisfizo las demandas de justicia divina por todos nuestros pecados. Cuando tenemos una fe verdadera en Él, Dios nos perdona y hace de cada uno de nosotros una nueva creación en Cristo (2 Co 5.17). No importa qué problemas hayamos causado, Él nos invita a acercarnos con fe y recibir el regalo de la vida eterna.
Dios promete salvar a toda persona que confíe en Él y confirmar a los creyentes en la verdad (Ro 16.25). El Señor nos da un fundamento firme en Cristo, y luego nos edifica en la justicia. Por medio de su Espíritu y de la Palabra, comenzamos a ver las cosas como las ve nuestro Padre celestial, y después a entender lo que le agrada a Él.
Al creer que Dios cumple sus promesas, aumenta nuestra fe y tenemos paz. Las dificultades pierden su poder, la esperanza sustituye al desaliento y la confianza vence a la duda. Cuando vengan los problemas, ponga sus ojos en Dios y en su capacidad de cuidar de usted.

Reflection on Genesis 44:33 Sometimes we get a second chance. When we do, it’s important to seize the opportunity. That’s what Judah did. When his brothers wanted to kill Joseph, Judah didn’t rescue Joseph but instead suggested that they sell him as a slave (see Genesis 37:26–27 ). His second chance came when Benjamin’s life appeared to be in danger. This time Judah put his own life on the line to protect his half brother, Rachel’s other son. Perhaps this commitment was taken into account in the blessings that God inspired Jacob to give his sons; eventually the Messiah came through Judah’s descendants (see Genesis 49:10 ). God often gives us second chances in life. When he does, we need to take advantage of the opportunity and set things right.
