Aquí continúa nuestra conversación con más enseñanzas acerca de la vida fructífera:
—Hijo, hay una tercera cosa que quiero que sepas: Estoy trayendo a otros para que hagan el viaje contigo. Búscalos.
—Pero, Señor, ya tengo suficiente con mis responsabilidades y mis problemas.
—Hijo, tienes que poner a un lado tus asuntos, y ayudar a otros a hacer el viaje.
—No puedo hacer más. Estoy demasiado ocupado.
—Yo elegiré tus prioridades.
—Estoy demasiado cansado.
—Te daré descanso. Ahora, aquí está la cuarta lección: Tienes que someterte a mi plan.
—¿Me explicarás lo que estás haciendo?
—A veces, aunque no siempre.
—Pero ¿y si tu plan no tiene sentido para mí?
—No confíes en tu entendimiento; sigue caminando hacia donde yo te dirija.
—Pero, Padre, ¿y si no quiero ir por ese camino? ¿Qué tal si me resulta demasiado difícil?
—Ah, ahora sí estamos en el meollo del asunto, que es la quinta lección: Una vida fructífera se tiene solamente cuanto está rendida a mí. Esa clase de vida se caracteriza por ser muy semejante a la vida de mi hijo Jesucristo. En otras palabras, la vida fructífera es una vida llena del fruto del Espíritu (Gá 5.22, 23). En esta relación, yo, Dios, soy quien manda. Tu parte es cooperar y someterte a mi plan. Ahora que conoces las instrucciones, ¿todavía quieres seguirme? Piénsalo con cuidado.
—Sí, Padre ¿A quién iría? Creo en ti, y quiero que seas mi guía.

July 23, 2012 Mary Southerland Today's Truth I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. La amistad: Ayuda para la santidad

Leer | JUAN 15.12-15 20 de julio de 2012 Cuando Dios creó todo, solo una cosa no tuvo su aprobación. Miró a Adán, quien era el único ser en su clase, y dijo: “No es bueno que el hombre esté solo” (Gn 2.18). El Señor creó a las personas para que tuvieran compañerismo emocional, mental y físico, de modo que pudieran compartir su ser más íntimo unas con otras. Jesús explicó esto a sus discípulos, diciéndoles que debían amarse unos a otros tal como Él los había amado. En una amistad que honra a Dios, dos personas se edifican mutuamente y se animan una a otra a tener un carácter como el de Cristo. Sin embargo, muchas no logran entablar y mantener relaciones que estimulen su fe (Pr 27.17). Lo que hacen es hablar trivialidades propias de simples conocidos: el clima y los asuntos mundiales.
