Celebrating Sanctity of Life Month

Defending life in all stages is one of the fundamental pillars of the God-breathed mission we pursue here at Family Talk. In January, we recognize the work of many ministries and organizations dedicated to standing firm in the battle for life as part of Sanctity of Human Life month, such as Moms In Touch International, whom we will profile next week.

In our lifetimes, we have witnessed innovation and social change at an exponential growth rate that can often leave our heads spinning. From the technology that connects us on a global scale, to the discovery of some of the mysteries of the universe, the more we learn, the clearer and more undeniable it becomes – we and everything in the universe is the loving handiwork of the one and only sovereign God, the Alpha and Omega, the El-Olam – "the everlasting God."

Perhaps no miracle is more precious and evident to us than that of life itself.

In this video, titled "Gift of Life," we marvel at the amazing wonder of the Father's innovation, illustrating again that all life is a gift, and why we must never cave to a culture that seeks to devalue any life or redefine when life begins – therefore endorsing the most offensive squandering of our Lord's most incredible gift.

Want to feel unique, special, and loved above all else? Watch the inspirational video HERE.

In our own gifts - the brains and inspiration given us by God that lends to beautiful earthly creations – art, music, tools and toys, we must never miss the astounding work found within God's creation… especially His creation that He made in His own likeness.

Please join us this January as we uplift and celebrate the Sanctity of Life Month.

"The Name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and is safe."

Year End Match Campaign Opportunity Reached! Thank You!

Dr. Dobson and the team at Family Talk wish to humbly and graciously thank all of the supporters who so generously provided a financial gift at year end to help Family Talk meet the $650,000 matching opportunity and provide the fuel to get us started here in 2012.

This support and the outpouring of prayer and well wishes are more important to us than you might know. This allows Family Talk to continue on the path of investing in the outreach to serve families with the resources they need to thrive. It is also a bold statement that we stand together, united, as Dr. Dobson labors tirelessly and regularly hits the road this election year to support the conservative cause and amplify the voice of family values. Of course, Family Talk will need your continued support and partnership this year for the wellbeing of the family. Happy New Year and God bless you!

The Danger in Being a Christian: It began as a Jewish sect; fierce persecution only helped it spread

Acts 8 Acts 8:1 On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. In some countries, a person who becomes a Christian forfeits a good education and job. And in a few countries, a person who converts risks his or her life. One church historian estimates that more Christians were martyred in the twentieth century than in all preceding centuries put together. Yet, strangely, more often than not, intense persecution of Christians leads to a spurt of growth in the church. An ancient saying expresses this phenomenon: “The blood of martyrs is the seed of the church.” The First Big Advance For a while, the new faith enjoyed popular favor. But very soon it involved grave risk. In the book of Acts, the persecution that produced the first Christian martyr, Stephen, ironically brought about the advance of Christianity outside its Jewish base. Forced out of stormy Jerusalem, the scatterin...
