Algunos cristianos aún no han entendido que el verdadero servicio es más que asistir a la iglesia; implica dedicar nuestras vidas al servicio de los demás. Jesús demostró esto cuando lavó los pies de los discípulos en el aposento alto durante la Última Cena.
El ejemplo del Señor nos enseña que la clave es la humildad. A menos que estemos dispuestos a inclinarnos y a ensuciarnos las manos para servir a los demás, no habremos entendido cuál es la clave del servicio. Además, un siervo verdadero…
Como seguidores de Jesús, debemos verlo a Él como nuestro ejemplo de siervo. Si Dios mismo tomó “la naturaleza de siervo” (Fil 2.6, 7 NVI) para hacer una tarea tan humilde para sus discípulos, ¿qué excusa podemos presentar nosotros para no servir a los demás?

Acts 8 Acts 8:1 On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. In some countries, a person who becomes a Christian forfeits a good education and job. And in a few countries, a person who converts risks his or her life.
