We will send a copy of this petition together with the names of all who sign to both the Republican and Democratic nominees for president.
If we don't speak out, Israel may well be overlooked in this busy political season.  We will miss an important opportunity to impact our next president.  The time to speak out for Israel is now!

scripture of the day
“Then I will take your for my people and I will be your God: and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the burden of the Egyptians” Exodus 6:7 God is the God of Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the enemy. He is with them during their times of distress. Just as he is with you, no matter what opposition you may face.  Click here to share the scripture of the day.

CUFI IN THE NEWS
Towards a conservative foreign policy: the Israel model by David Brog- an op-ed that appeared in The Daily Caller

Twin developments have converged to require an urgent re-examination of America’s role in the world. We’re saddled with a crushing debt that demands steep spending cuts. And Americans are weary — and wary — of international activism after long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in which we spent far too much American blood and treasure for too few results. We’re broke and we’re exhausted.

It should come as no surprise that some have sought to fashion these converging realities into a wedge with which to separate us from our ally Israel. Congressman Ron Paul has led this dubious charge. “Why,” Dr. Paul asks, “do we have this automatic commitment that we’re going to send our kids and send our money endlessly to Israel?” Even more provocatively, he’s claimed “all recent presidents have reiterated our obligation to bleed for Israel.”

Paul’s assertion is a borderline blood libel. We’ve never sent our kids to “bleed” for Israel. American soldiers have not participated in any of Israel’s wars. Nor have the Israelis ever requested our children’s blood. Instead, as Prime Minister Netanyahu recently put it, Israel wants only the ability to “defend itself by itself.”

Holocaust Survivor engages hundreds in N. Dakota
Article that appeared on Grand Forks WDAZ-TV
Holocaust survivor, Irving Roth spoke at two different events in North Dakota, bringing hundreds and filling each event. Roth brought a message of diversity and acceptance to a room of Middle School students then later he opened his message up to the community where more then 600 people were in attendance. Roth told his story of survival, helping people understand and learn from what happened in the Holocaust.

“And in 53 days 437,000 Jews were put into trains, and shipped into a death camp. So in June I arrived in Auschwitz,” Holocaust survivor Irving Roth said to students at Schroeder Middle School.

At just 14 years old, Irving Roth experienced first-hand the effects of hatred and persecution, when he was sent off to a concentration camp.

Georgia Pastors Get Up-Close Look at Israel's Peril
Article that appeared in Charisma

More than 35 Georgia pastors recently visited Israel on a trip led by Christians United for Israel (CUFI).

During the weeklong trip, the group visited a host of religious and historic sites including the Western Wall, Yad Vashem, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls).

The pastors had an opportunity to study the Bible with renowned Rabbi Daniel Sperber in Jerusalem’s Old City, take part in a meeting with the Jerusalem Post’s Palestinian Affairs Correspondent Khaled Abu Toameh, and visit an Israeli military base on the Lebanese-Israeli border. During the visit to the border, the group hand delivered more than 20,000 letters of support from CUFI activists to Israeli soldiers guarding the Jewish State’s borders.

According to the trip’s leader, CUFI’s Atlanta-based associate director Shari Dollinger, standing with Israel is a moral imperative.

CUFI students making a difference on campus
Below is an article taken from the Arkansas State University newspaper, the Herald.

Last Thursday, I attended a meeting of a recently formed campus chapter of Christians United For Israel (CUFI), a group of individuals from across the U.S. who have pledged to do their best to make politicians in Washington stand behind Israel, one of our greatest allies.

The evening was an eye-opener, in many respects.

The guest speaker was retired Colonel John Somerville, a 30-year Marine veteran who made over 60 trips to the Middle East during his career.

He made a very strong case for the need to support Israel. Somerville spoke at length about the threats to Israel, using historic precedent and current events to validate his claims.

If there were ever a time when Israel's friends needed to speak out and be heard, that time is now!
Christians United for Israel's Washington Summit is the premier pro-Israel event of the year. We bring together some of the most influential leaders and thinkers to update you on recent developments in Israel, the Middle East and Washington, D.C. Then we go to Congress so that you can share your support for Israel directly with your elected officials and help change the way Washington views the Jewish state.
We have no doubt that CUFI was created for such a time as this. We have no doubt that together we can take a stand for Israel that will make a difference for years to come.
Join us in Washington from July 16-18, 2012 for our seventh annual Washington Summit.
key ring half

In accordance with the words of Deuteronomy 6:9, the Jewish people post the word of God on the doorposts of their houses in a small container called a mezuzah. Every time they enter their homes, they see the mezuzah and are reminded of God’s commandments and God’s presence in their lives.
This mandate inspired us to create the CUFI Key Ring. Every time we enter our offices in the morning, our CUFI Key Ring reminds us to speak out for Zion’s sake. Every time we return home at night, our CUFI Key Ring reminds us that He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.
For your gift of $20 or more, you will receive a CUFI Key Ring. This is a token of our appreciation of your support. It is a reminder of the commitments we’ve all made to support Israel. This symbol reminds us to pray for Israel and the Jewish people.

In our decades of commitment to Israel, we don't remember a more perilous time for her than right now.  As the challenges to Israel mount, let us rise together to meet and overcome them.  We pray the Lord’s blessing over you as you prayerfully consider your support.

Pablo reprende a Pedro
