Our prayers are the only thing holding back God’s judgment on America

Dear Jorge,

It is no secret that President Obama has opposed Benjamin Netanyahu ever since the prime minister took office. My old friend of more than thirty years has defended Israel admirably despite opposition from Washington. But right now things are balanced on the edge of a knife. The election Israel held back in January produced a very divided outcome. Mr. Netanyahu got the most votes to be prime minister, but he has been struggling to put together a new government.
These two men have very different views of the world. I have known Mr. Netanyahu for more than thirty years. His political career began when I prayed over him in his home on the anniversary of his brother’s death during the Israeli raid on Entebbe to rescue the hostages being held by Palestinian terrorists. (Jonathan Netanyahu led the commando team and was the only Israeli soldier killed during the raid.)

The next day, after meeting Benjamin Netanyahu for the first time, I went back and met with Prime Minister Menachem Begin again and told him he needed to find a place for the young man in his government. That very night, his senior advisor Rueven Hecht met with Benjamin Netanyahu and offered him his first political appointment. Now Netanyahu is struggling to lead his nation in a time of great threat from without…and a time of abandonment by America and the Obama Administration.

This is an Ephesians 6 battle; we are wrestling against evil spiritual powers that are attempting to destroy Israel. And our nation, once a friend to the Jewish state, is working as hard as possible to undermine Israel’s position and the leadership of Mr. Netanyahu. Right now our leaders are cursing the Jewish people. I believe today that the only thing holding back God’s judgment on America is a godly remnant who are faithful to pray; you and I are playing a vital role in keeping God’s judgment from falling on our land.

I am going to Israel next week on an urgent mission as your ambassador. The next few weeks will be literally some of the most critical times in the entire modern existence of the nation of Israel. The Jewish state is surrounded by enemies. The future of the government of Israel is uncertain. We must stand for God’s Chosen People now as never before.

I urgently need your financial help as well. The work of the Jerusalem Prayer Team is vital, but we cannot continue without your support. This effort is completely supported by our members—friends like you who share our belief in the power of prayer and our love for Israel and the Jewish people.
SEE HOW YOUR LOVE TOUCHED THE LIVES OF HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS

In less than three weeks, the celebration of Passover begins. This is a holy and sacred time of year. The weeklong Feast of Unleavened Bread is a celebration of God’s deliverance and protection for His people. But for the poor and hungry, especially for the elderly Holocaust survivors, it is anything but a happy time.

Today I’m asking you to help us provide food for the Seder and the week of Passover for these precious people. I will be there in Jerusalem to represent you as we share the message of hope and Christian love with them. Your gift today will provide meals for the hungry—meeting one of their most urgent needs.

In faith, I have told the director of our outreach to go ahead and plan for a Passover party and a major food distribution, but we can’t do this unless you help. Please send your gift today to bless the Holocaust survivors of Jerusalem and the poor of the house of Israel.
When you send your gift today, we will send you this beautiful Jerusalem peace print. Since the City of David is the focal point of the enemy’s attack, it must be the focal point of our prayers as well. Suitable for framing, this lovely picture will be a constant reminder to you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
If you are able to send a gift of $77 or more, we will send you the print and a unique prayer shawl*.
Since ancient times, prayer shawls like these have been worn by the Jewish people as they went before the Lord. This piece, especially designed and created for Jerusalem Prayer Team members, is our gift to you to say thank you for your help with this vital worldwide prayer movement. (*While supplies last)

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team allows us to continue our work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.

Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans

Pablo reprende a Pedro
