Cómo sobrevivir a un ataque satánico

Cuando escuchamos la palabra guerra, pensamos en un combate físico con vehículos blindados, soldados uniformados y armas mortales. Sin embargo, hay una guerra espiritual a nuestro alrededor que es igualmente peligrosa —una guerra que muchos ignoramos o no podemos entender. Tenemos un enemigo poderoso trabajando contra nosotros. De hecho, el Señor lo llama “el dios de este siglo” (2 Co 4.4), porque es la fuente del mal y de la iniquidad en nuestro mundo. Para vencer los ataques de Satanás, debemos primero reconocer que es un adversario real. Luego necesitamos mantenernos firmes contra él. Y para mantenernos firmes, tenemos que vestirnos para la batalla con:
El cinturón de la verdad.Por ser nuestro enemigo el padre de mentira, tenemos que ponernos el cinturón de la verdad de Dios para combatir sus falsedades. Es imperativo aferrarnos al plan del Señor, siguiéndole obedientemente, no importa el costo. Así como un cinturón sujeta a la ropa en su lugar, nuestras vidas tienen que estar rodeadas y sujetadas diariamente por la verdad de la Palabra de Dios.
La coraza de justicia. Al igual que una cubierta protectora, la obediencia nos protege del daño. Puesto que el diablo anda buscando a quien engañar y destruir (1 P 5.8), debemos obedecer a Dios en nuestra conducta y conversación. Al estar protegidos, los dardos de concupiscencia, duda o temor de Satanás, no penetrarán.
Protéjase hoy dedicando tiempo para empaparse de las verdades de Dios (el cinturón) y luego ponerlas en práctica por medio de actos de obediencia (la coraza).

Reflection on Genesis 44:33 Sometimes we get a second chance. When we do, it’s important to seize the opportunity. That’s what Judah did. When his brothers wanted to kill Joseph, Judah didn’t rescue Joseph but instead suggested that they sell him as a slave (see Genesis 37:26–27 ). His second chance came when Benjamin’s life appeared to be in danger. This time Judah put his own life on the line to protect his half brother, Rachel’s other son. Perhaps this commitment was taken into account in the blessings that God inspired Jacob to give his sons; eventually the Messiah came through Judah’s descendants (see Genesis 49:10 ). God often gives us second chances in life. When he does, we need to take advantage of the opportunity and set things right.
