La actitud de la madre piadosa

Los hijos son un regalo del Señor (Sal 127.3-5). Como resultado, la maternidad es un gran privilegio, pero también es sinónimo de servicio. Cada día, la mujer está llamada a atender abnegadamente las necesidades de su familia. Ya sea atendiendo a un bebé a altas horas de la noche, dedicando tiempo y dinero en unos adolescentes poco agradecidos, o preparando comidas.Las madres están continuamente poniendo a otros antes que a sí mismas.
A veces, este servicio puede ser agotador e incluso desalentador. Pero las madres pueden encontrar ánimo en Jesús. Juan 13.3-16 nos da un excelente ejemplo de servicio: al arrodillarse para lavar los pies de sus discípulos, el Señor mostró que la clave del liderazgo auténtico es la humildad. Y es la humildad lo que lleva a la recompensa eterna.
A menos que una madre esté dispuesta a doblegarse y hacer sacrificios, perderá las verdaderas riquezas de la maternidad. Al morir a sus propios deseos y volcar su vida en otras personas, se vuelve como Cristo y crea un legado que pasará de generación en generación. ¿Qué mayor bendición podría desear una madre? Por supuesto, la motivación para servir a los demás no debe ser el obtener algún beneficio; sin embargo, cuando las madres obedecen el plan de Dios para sus vidas, eso es lo que sucede.
Al darles hijos, Dios coloca a las mujeres en una posición privilegiada de liderazgo y servicio. Las llama a renunciar a sus vidas por el bien de otros —a abandonar sus propios deseos y a poner los intereses de sus hijos primero.
Dios a todas las madres del mundo! En especial a mi Madre Te Amo.

Reflection on Genesis 44:33 Sometimes we get a second chance. When we do, it’s important to seize the opportunity. That’s what Judah did. When his brothers wanted to kill Joseph, Judah didn’t rescue Joseph but instead suggested that they sell him as a slave (see Genesis 37:26–27 ). His second chance came when Benjamin’s life appeared to be in danger. This time Judah put his own life on the line to protect his half brother, Rachel’s other son. Perhaps this commitment was taken into account in the blessings that God inspired Jacob to give his sons; eventually the Messiah came through Judah’s descendants (see Genesis 49:10 ). God often gives us second chances in life. When he does, we need to take advantage of the opportunity and set things right.
