La obediencia es una acción poderosa que puede desencadenar la gloria de Dios de maneras que están más allá de nuestra imaginación. Pero obedecer es usualmente difícil porque nuestros deseos son probados. Nos asusta hacer lo que Él dice, por temor a perder lo que es importante para nosotros. No obedecer puede, impedirnos recibir lo que más deseamos.
Al comienzo, tres obstáculos impidieron a Naamán obedecer las instrucciones de Dios, y eso casi lo privó de experimentar una curación milagrosa.
El llamado a obedecer, muchas veces pone al descubierto ataduras de las cuales el Señor quiere librarnos. Cuando decidimos responder con fe, Dios se revela a sí mismo de una manera nueva que fortalece nuestra confianza en Él; porque a la larga nuestra mayor necesidad es conocer mejor al Señor.

The Danger in Being a Christian: It began as a Jewish sect; fierce persecution only helped it spread
Acts 8 Acts 8:1 On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. In some countries, a person who becomes a Christian forfeits a good education and job. And in a few countries, a person who converts risks his or her life. One church historian estimates that more Christians were martyred in the twentieth century than in all preceding centuries put together. Yet, strangely, more often than not, intense persecution of Christians leads to a spurt of growth in the church.
