Nuestra cita celestial

Cada tictac del reloj nos acerca un segundo más a nuestra cita celestial con el Señor Jesús. Como creyentes en Cristo, estaremos delante de Él un día para dar cuenta de nuestras vidas. En ese momento, rendiremos cuentas de nuestros actos y recibiremos una recompensa según todo lo que hayamos hecho mientras estuvimos en la Tierra, sea bueno o sea malo (2 Co 5.10).
Pero este no será un juicio de condenación. En el momento que fuimos salvos, cuando aceptamos a Cristo como nuestro Salvador, toda la culpa fue quitada de nosotros (Ro 8.1). Al tomar nuestro lugar en la cruz, Jesús llevó nuestros pecados y experimentó la ira de Dios contra nuestra iniquidad (1 P 2.24). Como resultado, el castigo por nuestro pecado ha sido pagado en su totalidad.
Cuando estemos de pie delante de nuestro Señor, Él mirará cuáles de nuestras decisiones estuvieron en consonancia con su voluntad. Cada acto de servicio obediente, ya sea grande o pequeño, será recordado y recompensado. Al mismo tiempo, tengo la convicción de que habrá quebranto y lágrimas cuando nuestra maldad e indiferencia sean consideradas. Colosenses 3.2-12 nos da una imagen de lo que debemos ser y de cómo quiere el Señor que vivamos hasta que lleguemos a nuestra cita celestial.
Puesto que el Señor nos hace responsables de nuestros actos, es impostergable que sustituyamos conductas impías por justas. Antes de tomar cualquier decisión, busque dirección bíblica y buena orientación espiritual; y medite después en qué decisiones debe tomar para agradar a Dios.
