¿Cómo podemos hallar el favor de Dios?

Una vez que tenemos el favor de Dios por medio de la salvación, ¿tiene importancia la manera como actuamos? La Biblia responde con un rotundo “¡Sí!”, y nos da numerosos ejemplos de vidas que podemos imitar.
• Noé respondió a Dios caminando con Él cada día. Nuestro Padre celestial responde positivamente a quienes caminan con Él, viven obedientes a su Palabra, y escuchan con atención a su Santo Espíritu. Para quienes creemos, eso significa no solo hacer de la Sagrada Escritura parte de nuestras vidas, sino también aprender quién es Dios, y lo que a Él le agrada. ¿Qué tan bien lo conoce usted?
• Moisés, a pesar de sus objeciones iniciales, decidió obedecer el llamamiento divino, y vivir conforme a la voluntad de Dios. El Señor da su favor a quienes le obedecen y viven en términos de lo que le agrada a Él. Para ello, es necesario aprender a pensar como el Señor lo hace. ¿Qué tan parecidos son sus pensamientos a los de Él?
• Pablo, su único anhelo, después de su conversión, fue servir al Señor. Trataba de dar lo mejor de sí con obediencia. El Señor da su favor a quienes tienen un corazón inclinado a Él. ¿Está su vida centrada en Cristo?
• María respondió con confianza, y no dudó cuando el ángel le anunció que daría a luz al Mesías. Dios extiende sus bendiciones a quien decide creer, aun cuando las circunstancias digan lo contrario. ¿Qué tanto confía usted en el Señor?
Hallamos el favor de nuestro Padre celestial cuando tenemos una mente que cree, un corazón receptivo y un espíritu obediente.

Reflection on Genesis 44:33 Sometimes we get a second chance. When we do, it’s important to seize the opportunity. That’s what Judah did. When his brothers wanted to kill Joseph, Judah didn’t rescue Joseph but instead suggested that they sell him as a slave (see Genesis 37:26–27 ). His second chance came when Benjamin’s life appeared to be in danger. This time Judah put his own life on the line to protect his half brother, Rachel’s other son. Perhaps this commitment was taken into account in the blessings that God inspired Jacob to give his sons; eventually the Messiah came through Judah’s descendants (see Genesis 49:10 ). God often gives us second chances in life. When he does, we need to take advantage of the opportunity and set things right.
